In high school, Jill was overweight, out of shape and generally unhealthy. She was on the swim team and ran track. She was so bad at running, she switched to the “shot put”. Her swim competitions were grueling. She entered college and experienced headaches, fatigue and lack of motivation. Her academics suffered. After a routine visit to the doctor, she learned she had high cholesterol (258). At age 19, she decided to “turn her life around” and become more healthy, productive and successful. Her cholesterol decreased to 185 from diet and exercise alone. Let her share some secrets and motivation techniques to” turn your life around” today. “Being alive is a gift, living life healthy is a choice.”

Testimonials

  • Jill was instrumental in getting me prepared for the Imogene. Her routines were extremely challenging, and her motivational attitude effective. She exceeded my expectations for what a coach might provide informationally and inspirationally. Plus she’s just a great person to work with.

    Chris Chaffin, Telluride
  • I have attended many personal development seminars from which I have gained a great deal. However, I do believe my time spent with Jill, doing The Passion Test, may very well be the best I have ever spent! Jill is an excellent facilitator.

    Connie Greco, Grand Junction
  • I trained with Jill for my first Imogene Pass Run during the summer of 2012 and felt completely prepared for the 17 mile / 13,000+ elevation gain race that fall! The following summer, I trained with Jill for my first marathon and again she was a tremendous coach. She gave me a weekly running schedule and was there for questions, concerns and modifications. I could not have completed either race without the guidance of Jill! Thank you!

    Cynthia Sommers, Telluride

  • Although I have read the Chi Running book, Jill’s hands-on approach, visualizations, and demonstrations helped me immensely to get a better grasp on the forms. Her honest, relaxed, and forthright teaching methods were just what I needed! The workshop exceeded all expectations!

  • I have never felt so warmly welcomed into an already cohesive group. Jill is good at what she does as a running coach.

    Kathryn Shasha
  • I am so glad I came to running class and thank you for letting me bring Beck in the jogger! The next day I ran 2 miles pushing Beck in the jogger. I had such a feeling of freedom and independence! I realized it’s nice to be able to head out my door and run even when I don’t have a babysitter.

    Cynthia Sommers, Telluride
  • I don’t usually give out excellence in everything, but Jill was an excellent instructor. She knew the information and was able to explain it so that everyone understood it. I think that the techniques I learned will help prevent future injuries and enhance my enjoyment in running. I honestly didn’t think I would get as much out of the workshop as i did.

  • Jill is expert at providing practical training and advice for the Imogene Pass Run. She has best practices down to a science. Of equal significance, she helped me discover how to actually enjoy training and racing by learning how to benefit mentally from the time outdoors becoming physically fit. Jill’s support and help in reaching this goal – a goal I NEVER imagined possible for myself – empowered me in a way I will always be thankful for

    Emo Overall, Telluride
  • Working with Jill helped me achieve my goals, even surpass them! I could not have completed my first 1/2 marathon without her! The last mile was so hard and I couldn’t have made that mile without her coaching. Seeing Jill at the finish line was the best!

    Tiffany Osborne, Telluride
  • I completed the Moab half marathon running my fastest and feeling my best. I do believe the techniques I learned from Jill helped. When I started to get tired, I checked back in with myself to make sure everything was in line. I also think all the speed work and strength training really got me into shape. I was not sore at all the next day! Thanks for everything Jill! This experience was completely different from my last race. I actually enjoyed it again!

    Dawn Katz, Telluride
  • As a working mom, my life is often stressful and chaotic. My work with Jill has enabled me to incorporate fitness and healthy habits into my weekly routine and prioritize my schedule around the things that are truly important to me. The end result has been a work/life balance that I wasn’t able to achieve without her guidance.

    Hilary Soules, Telluride
  • Prior to deciding to make a change in my life, my excuse was always… “I don’t have time to work out” or “I don’t have time to fit healthy habits into my busy life.” With Jill’s support, I’ve integrated exercise into my daily schedule and made a lifestyle change. In turn, I have more time on my hands than I ever had before! My mind is so clear, especially after working out. I have more energy, I take less naps, I feel great about myself and I’m so much more productive than I used to be. At the beginning, it was hard to start working out. But, I realized after I get through the first 15 minutes of any workout, I am ready to take on much more or go much farther. Furthermore, after a couple weeks of making health and wellness a priority in my life, the workouts got easier and easier as I became stronger both mentally and physically. When I started, I was walking 1 mile in 40 minutes. After just four weeks, I was walking 5 miles in 59 minutes. Jill is a great motivator and helped me realize I am stronger than I thought. I am conquering milestones I never thought possible.

    Brenda, Telluride
  • I got out yesterday for a run and it was invigorating. I’m so thrilled to be on this path of taking better care of myself and finally making time for me to exercise. Thanks so much for all your enthusiasm and support. I ran in my first race ever on January 1st. It was a breeze! I would have never ever, ever, considered doing this six months ago. Yeah to Jill and 180 Wellness!
